Now that Bush has caused the price of oil to drop will the Democrats finally admit they are idiots?

and stop opposing off shore drilling?

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/07/1鈥?/a>

For the past three days every since President Bush lifted an executive ban on offshore oil and gas drilling on Monday oil prices have dropped. Now we know the specualtors (the democrats tout ) are scared. Isn't it time to open up the offshore leases and give the specualtors something to be really scared of?

Or will the Democrats continue to make American middle class bear the brunt of their high and mighty ideals? Now that Bush has caused the price of oil to drop will the Democrats finally admit they are idiots?
Not enough, gas is still $5.15 a gallon here, same as last week. Off shore drilling is not the answer. The price of oil no longer reflects supply and demand. The numbers are just to ridiculous. The solution is not a little more oil that is hard to get at, but it is reducing our dependence on one energy source. We need to work on creating electric cars and infrastructure to support wind, hydroelectric, solar etc technologies. Now that Bush has caused the price of oil to drop will the Democrats finally admit they are idiots?
Bush did not cause the price to go up, and he didn't cause the price to go down. We have economies and global markets for that.

No, the Democrats won't admit that they're idiots. They're not. Closer to evil geniuses, deluded minions, socialists, pie-in-the-skiers, and of course, a great number of well-intentioned wishful thinkers.
I am a democrat %26amp; 10 yrs ago they said we wouldn't see the benifit of drilling for 10yrs %26amp; here we are. We can drill responsibly %26amp; yes ever since he lifted the ban the price has dropped. If we start pumping out more oil it will continue to drop. OPEC doesn't want us to drill they want a strangle hold on us. Drilling won't be enough though, the energy companies have got to agressively develop alernative means of energy. They have got to become energy companies not gas companies.
This is the first time in a loooooooong time that I was actually proud of something W did. It was about time that happened. Democrats will never admit their ';short comings'; (to put it nicely). I wish someone could tell me why Pelosi is still in charge on the Hill. Her approval ratings are in the toilet and it's been flushed!!!!!

ADD: Not sure where Kiziah lives but it has gone down here in CA slowly but steadily over the last few days.
Well I'm glad the price of oil has impressed you

Americans are so gullible.

He shoots you in the foot and you thank him for calling a doctor

America has cheaper gas than it should compared with Europe

and it deserves

America has no idea of conservation, or in reducing consumption, just give us more to waste

I still invest in the oil companies, its a sure thing
When he issued his executive order, he sent a signal which said ';Dammit.,let's DO something.';

The Dems in congress will probably respond by calling for a congressional hearing.

They'd rather choke than admit Bush was right.
I bought gas today. The price of oil may have gone down a little, but the cost of gas is still the same.
His psychological solutions are just that.
No, just like Obama will never admit the surge was a success. They take joy in our pain at the gas pump.
only the truly intelligent one Will..pay me now or pay me later
they cannot because the are idiots
Is that why Pelosi called Bush an utter failure today?
I highly doubt that because they have been acting like this for years and will never admit they were wrong.
there is no change for us so what difference does it make
People must put more pressure on congress and senate to get this country energy independent, then we don't have to worry about the stability of where our oil comes from now. Its not Bush's fault because the oil prices more than doubled during the Clinton years and now doubled during the Bush years. Therefore, it isn't the fault of the president's, but the increasing buying power of China and the rest of the world.

So we should remove ourselves from the mess of the world and become energy self sustaining. Then when that happens, watch how the world will beg for us to interfere in their parts of the world.
Doubtful since idiots seldom recognize themselves as such.

Nancy Pelosi is still saying NO to offshore drilling. She did that in part of the same CNN interview where she mocked President Bush for his low approval ratings while failing to mention that the approval rating for Senate %26amp; Congress is much lower than even Bush's. (I guess she was hoping if she created enough of a smoke screen, no one would notice that little detail.) It seems she was riled because Bush had been criticial of the ';do nothing'; nature of the current Congressional crop of useless creatures. I'm not a big fan of Bush since I feel he has listened a little too much to Dick Cheney and made some bad decisions, but at least he is trying to do something about the gas prices. I personally wonder if part of the reason Congressional Dems block every attempt to do something about our pain at the pump is because they are in the pocket of George Soros---big time stock market SPECULATOR %26amp; profiteer who was recently convicted in France of ';insider trading'; and is known as the ';man who broke the Bank of England';. Soros is perhaps the biggest bankroller of the Democratic Party and pretty much calls the shots. Of course, it's also true that Al Gore has a lot of pull with Pelosi, Reid %26amp; co.
The sun rises each day and sets each night.

Just as surely the Democrats will never admit a failure no matter how obvious.

The jury is in on solar %26amp; wind, nobody with a functioning brain still thinks these will be viable energy sources. Hydrogen will only help if the power used to draw it from water is nuclear. Any other power source to extract hydrogen will consume more energy than will be gleaned from the end product.

In summary our best and cleanest energy hope is to generate all our electricity via nuclear power and use fossil fuels for our industrial transportation needs. That means drill Now, build refineries NOW and build nuclear power plants NOW.

Do not tolerate any other argument in the energy debate, they are smokescreens designed to draw attention away from the DEMOCRAT party who, has opposed nuclear power, building newer more efficient refineries and going after our own abundant sources of fossil fuels.

Don't let them change the subject!
Bush can do no right. everything he does is terriable, no matter what it is. if he cured cancer today, they would accuse him of sitting on the cure for year's. the thing is, they are the MINORITY. sure, they are louder than the rest of us, but look at where they live. califonia, new york, practically all of new england. but they do not make the country work, and have no idea what does. that is why Bush was elected twice, and if Mccain would just realize that, and run as a conservative that will stand up and fight for our belief's , he'd win.
